Risk taking takes two very important components, as far as our worship ministry is concerned: Faith and Empowerment of Volunteers

Check out this week’s Video Blog  Based on last week’s reaction I thought through my location carefully and would love your thoughts and feedback.

Be sure to read this week's Bible passage: Luke 10:1-24 (linked above) and see what you can learn from the passage as you see how Jesus empowered His disciples. Also, take a look at what excited His disciples vs. what excited Jesus about the experience.

I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts and wisdom this Thursday night for practice!

This week I would like to start a process of allowing our leaders and artists to share about our Core Values. I will begin by sharing our top value: God Honoring Living.

Check out this week's video blog, then take some time to re-familiarize yourself with this week's Bible passage in Matthew.

Lastly, try to recall some famous (or infamous) church and worship leaders who have either failed or succeeded in their ability to live out their Christian faith. We will use their lives and the Matthew passage to drive our conversation Thursday.

This week we have someone new offering perspective through a video blog.  In the video link below, Tony correlates the concept of business networking to principles that should be applied in ministry and our concept of how God can use us through ministry.

Take a look at this week's bible passage in Corinthians, where Paul discusses the many types of spiritual gifts and how we can use them to build up one another and reach out to the community.  It's a great passage to use to reflect on how your unique gifts and talents can be used in the context of ministry in the church and beyond.

Discipline

Last week we talked about how values and vision can shape a ministry, an organization, a church, and an individual. But, if we stop at values and vision, we have short-changed ourselves.

Every vision needs defined goals and people who are willing to leverage discipline to see vision become reality.  Discipline can produce growth in a person and an individual.

This week’s video blog has two parts - both are about 1 min long:

Part One: Pre-Discipline
Part Two: Post-Discipline

Take a couple of minutes to check it out and come ready to look into how Jesus used discipline to realize His vision and how it produced growth for Him as well as those around Him.

See you all Thursday night!
