Check out this week's Bible passage: John 10:10
This week I would like to do a couple things through our blog. I would like to use the passage above as a month-long study for two reasons:
1. I would like for us to memorize it together, as a ministry; and
2. I would like to show the power of looking at just a few words of scripture and meditating on them.
Both of these are great disciplines.
Check out this week's video by CLICKING HERE.
Be sure to post the John 10:10 passage somewhere and begin memorizing it. Each week we will study one piece of it.

Thankful Leadership

Check out this week's Bible passage: Matthew 26: 20-29
This week my attention was drawn to Thanksgiving and the meal that we are preparing to share with those that we love. That led me to think about Jesus’ last meal on earth as recorded in the Gospel of Matthew (since I just finished it in my reading plan).
Be sure you watch this week’s video and read the scripture passage above.
Meditate on the last supper this week. Consider that all of the disciples were at different places of leadership in their spiritual journey. What did the last supper mean to them? Other than creating a lasting sacrament, what was Jesus teaching them about leadership? Who are we learning leadership from? Who are we giving away our leadership?
I will be looking forward to talking to you this week about what you saw. I also want to share the Lord’s Supper with you. Whether you are scheduled to play this week or not, please feel free to come for the devotion and the Lord’s Supper.
Remember that this week we are practicing WEDNESDAY evening starting at 6:30PM.

Friendship vs. Fellowship
This post was written by Larry Davis, a pastor at Oak Ridge Baptist Church in Salisbury, MD.
Check out this week's Bible passage: Acts 2:42–47
Biblical fellowship is so important. There are many ways that we can connect with other Christians: ministry, community events, friendships, football games…. I could go on. But Biblical community when it comes to fellowship is unique according to the New Testament.
Watch this week’s video by CLICKING HERE and be sure you read the scripture above.
Come this Thursday evening ready to talk about what it means to grow and connect in real Biblical fellowship.
How do we do that at ORBC?
Is this an area where you should take a next step?

Leaders All Begin as Disciples

Check out this week's Bible Passage: Luke 10:1–17
It is the goal of our ministry to help each of you become the greatest leader that you can be. I think this is a goal steeped in the origin of the church and within the first disciples.
Be sure to watch this week's video by CLICKING HERE and read the Bible passage above. This Thursday I would like to share a path that has the potential to move you forward in your faith as well as your leadership. Please be sure to be at practice before 6:30pm.
