Creativity is a value of our ministry. We want artists
and techs to feel the freedom to be expressive and use their gifts not only to
impact our crowd but the community.

People have different opinions about creativity and what
it means. While out in California, I have been
listening to Gungor and watching some of their youtube videos. For a
perspective on what Michael Gungor thinks about creativity check out this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FhvZkRCtA40.
When addressing this issue, the Message translation of the
Bible brings out a very cool nuance:
What a
beautiful thing, God, to give
thanks, to sing an anthem to you, the High
God! To announce your love each daybreak, sing your faithful presence all
through the night, Accompanied by dulcimer and harp, the full-bodied music of strings. Psalm
92:1–3
As you prepare this week think about these questions:
- How would you define creativity?
- Should creativity have borders, boundaries, if so what, if not why?
- What are you doing to become more creative?
Come ready for a good discussion this Thursday and pray that
the snow storm does not keep me in California. I should be flying back Wednesday!
